Paolo Granata

Paolo Granata is an Associate Professor of Book and Media Studies at the University of Toronto, where his work focuses on media ecology, media education, and virtual reality.
In Italy, he is the author of Ecologia dei Media (Franco Angeli, 2015), among other works. Since 2019, he has been the Director of the Media Ethics Lab at the University of Toronto.
He has been a member of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO since 2018.
In 2011, he was named the Marshall McLuhan Centenary Fellow at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information. In 2017, he published The Gutenberg Deck, a deck of cards exploring print culture.
In 2021, he created The MediuM, a board game inspired by Canadian media theorist Marshall McLuhan.
